This Gucci suit from the Fall/Winter 1996 collection by Tom Ford is tailored in red velvet with satin trim. The jacket features peak lapels, a single-button front, and welt pockets. The matching trousers are cut in a tapered fit with a lightly flared silhouette. A version of this tuxedo appeared on the runway as look 39, modeled by Trish Goff. Famously worn by Gwyneth Paltrow to the 1996 VMAs. The suit was further highlighted in the season's ad campaign modeled by Georgina Grenville, captured by Mario Testino. It was also modeled in multiple editorials, including "The Straight and Narrow," captured by Steven Meisel for Vogue.
