This blue watercolor silk chiffon dress from Emanuel Ungaro’s Fall/Winter 2000 collection embodies the house’s fluid sensuality in the Y2K era. The halterneck design debuted in red as Look 55 and appeared in the season’s ad campaign on Kristen Owen, photographed by Mario Sorrenti. Cut from lightweight chiffon, it features a plunging cowl neckline and a wrap detail at the high-slit skirt, creating movement and allure. Designed by Emanuel Ungaro himself before Giambattista Valli assumed creative direction of the ready-to-wear line, this dress is a rare example of the couturier’s late work.
