These Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton wedge sandals from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection are designed with a high platform silhouette and a sculpted oyster-form heel. The upper is constructed from multiple thin, curved straps in gold metallic snakeskin leather that create an open cage structure, secured with an ankle strap closure. The design is grounded by a ribbed wedge with a layered construction and finished with a gold-tone metal spine detail at the back. The design was worn by Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell in the closing ceremony for the 2012 Olympic Games and in British Vogue, photographed by Nick Knight.
