This Atelier Versace corset-boned bustier and matching pant set was designed by Jørgen Simonsen under the creative direction of Donatella Versace. The sheer bodice is fully hand-embellished with vintage coral pieces and three different bead types densely sewn across the entire top, with corset boning, a structured bust, and a concealed side zipper. The flared pants feature a matching genuine coral-embellished motif with an asymmetric beaded embroidery placement across the hip and down the leg. Versions of this top were worn by Halle Berry to the 1999 Emmy Awards, appeared on Gisele Bündchen for the Fall/Winter 1999 Gianni Versace runway, on Catherine Zeta-Jones to Elton John’s 1999 party in the South of France, and were photographed by David LaChapelle on Thora Birch for the December 1999 issue of Interview magazine.
